Hello! My name is Rebecca Nguyen.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill double majoring in Business Administration and Studio Fine Arts in May 2019 (I know, 2 vastly different subjects). You must wonder how I operate when I'm both left and right brain, well, that's you and me both.
After graduation, I started my first job as a Sales Professional at Red Ventures where I learned the tactical side of the sales process, moved into Sales Leadership where I mentored and coached other Sales Professionals, and lastly transitioned into Sales Recruiting, all within a year and a half. I know, it’s a lot. From all the different hats I wore, one common thing each role had was my drive to create a memorable experience for my audience. From customers, to Sales Professional, to candidates, I thrived on brainstorming processes, understanding my audience’s drive, and creating a deliverable that solves their issues. Although creating an experience for other’s was great, something was still missing in my current role and it was a similar feeling I felt my freshman year of college: art.
Design was an aspect I needed to have in addition to creating an experience for others to fully fuel my passion for art. I then found out about UX/UI Design, the bridge between both user experience and design, i.e. my left and right brain.
